DAY 1- Fly to London 
Depart from the USA under own arrangements

DAY 2 – Arrive London, British Museum 
Arrive at London airport meet our Tour Guide. Enjoy a panoramic tour of London on our way to our Manor House Hotel. We stop for a visit at world-famous museum – British Museum. Founded in 1753, the British Museum’s remarkable collection spans over two million years of human history.  We continue and check into our hotel.  Our home for the next 6 nights is in a beautiful  4-Star mansion with terraced gardens. Hendon Hall is a 16th century mansion that was converted to a Hotel in 1911.  Time to rest before our welcome dinner. Hendon Hall – London (D)

DAY 3 – Highclere Castle – Downton Abbey
After our full English breakfast, we depart for Highclere Castle better known as Downton Abbey. This is a well recognized building because it is used for exterior shots of Downton Abbey as well as some of the interior filming. Highclere Castle is the home of the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon. Tickets to visit the site are hard to get but we did it! Enjoy some time at leisure at the castle to explore the grounds and soak up the ambience.  Return to your mansion hotel. Hendon Hall – London (B, D)

DAY 4 – London Touring, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London
After our breakfast we drive into central London and visit Westminster Abbey and see Big Ben. Westminster Abbey was initially built by Henry III in 1245 and it is one of the most important Gothic buildings of England.  We enjoy a walk around Buckingham Palace. Surrounded by vast parklands and gardens, this grand palace has been the Royal London residence since Queen Victoria’s time. We visit the Tower of London, one of London’s most famous landmarks. The Tower houses the Crown Jewels, the prison cell of Sir Walter Raleigh, known as the Bloody Tower, and the Chapel of St. John and the Royal Armories. We return to our mansion hotel and enjoy dinner in the lovely surroundings.  Hendon Hall – London (B, D)

DAY 5 – Kew Palace & Gardens, Windsor Castle
After breakfast we depart for Kew Gardens and Kew Palace which was the residence of King George III. Step inside and explore this intimate and beautiful royal retreat. Kew Palace will always be associated with the ‘madness’ of George III. Come and decided for yourself if the King really was mad. We continue on and visit Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years. It is an official residence of Her Majesty The Queen.  We return to our mansion hotel for dinner. Hendon Hall – London (B, D)

DAY 6 – Stonehenge, Roman Baths, Jane Austin Center
Today we have a full day of touring planned!  After breakfast, we depart for Stonehenge, one of the most famous sites in the world. Stonehenge, believed to have been built in 3,000 BC is composed of a circular setting of large standing stones set within earthworks.  We continue on to Bath to see the Roman Baths dating from 60 AD. A stroll through historic Bath is like visiting an open-air museum.  We then follow in the footsteps of Jane Austen with a visit to a visitor center names in her honor.  We return to our mansion home and enjoy dinner.  Hendon Hall – London (B, D)

DAY 7 – Oxforshire, Waddesdon Manor
Today we visit  Bampton & Waddesdon Manor. The village of Bampton in Oxfordshire – was used to film outdoor scenes in Downton Abbey, most notably St Mary’s Church and the library, which served as the entrance to the cottage hospital. Bampton is a bustling village and claims to be one of the oldest and prettiest villages in the area, retaining much of the character of a traditional Cotswold village. We continue on and visit Waddesdon Manor was the fictional Haxby Park, the estate Sir Richard Carlisle intended to buy in Series 2 of Downton Abbey.  Waddesdon Manor is a country house which is set in formal gardens and an English landscape park and overlooking Waddesdon village.  We have time to explore and experience rural England before returning to
our mansion home.  We enjoy a farewell dinner. Hendon Hall – London (B, D)

DAY 8 – Departure
After final breakfast we say farewell to our lovely mansion home and transfer to London airport for our return flight to the USA. (B)
